Day 71

Good morning Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 1330 grams (2 lb 14.9 oz) today, down 40 grams (1.4 oz) from yesterday's weight. I gained an average of 21.4 grams (0.8 oz) per day over the past 7 days. How about this weight gain? Did you ever know anyone who gained so well?

I received feedings by pump yesterday at a rate of 9.0-9.5 ml/hr and I received a total amount of 217 ml (7.3 oz) for the day. I took all my milk by tube. I really appreciate all the breastmilk you are giving me. As the saying goes "Breast is Best"!! Since yesterday morning, I pooped once around noon.

As of 4 AM, I was on a mechanical ventilator with 35% oxygen. I had no apnea/bradycardia spells yesterday, and I've had 1 so far today. My nurses and doctors say that these spells are so common in premies that they'd be surprised if I wasn't having the spells.
