While I was sleeping

The doctor down at CHoP called last night after I went to bed. Mommy took the call. They finally got the MRI results and after looking at the pictures it looks a little more involved than originally thought. They are not sure if it spread to my other adrenal gland so they are going to do a biopsy first before they take out my gland and the tumor. I go back down on Monday to meet with my surgeon.

  1. Hi Regina, You do not know me but I have heard about you through my friend Kathleen Keating who is good friends with your friend Hayley/ NICU. My daughter, Kristen O'Halloran was diagnosed with stage 4, intermediate risk neuroblastoma (with some added flare of high risk) at the age of 1 yrs old. She is now a happy and healthly 6 yr old who will provide you and your family with her story of hope and pure fight. She was treated at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and had all her surgeries done with their wonder and most beloved Dr. Michael LaQuigla (to meet him you will know what I mean). Currently, her cancer remains stable on her liver with a little in her spine and bottom of her skull BUT has been that way for the past 5 yrs after 12 rounds of chemo, 3 major surgeries, 6 cycles of accutance cleaned up the rest. I would like to help you in any way that I can as I know when I was in your shoes I had a NB mom reach out to me in the first few days and that made a huge difference. Please feel free to call, we live on Long Island (516) 679-2609. My name is Mary Kay and my daughter is Kristen. I will keep your John and your whole family in special prayers to Padre Pio. Remember, one day at a time. Hugs.
