Day 225
Mommy's Aunt Sue and her cousins Andrew and Katie came to visit me today. Well they don't all live in Michigan now. Katie is in TN and Andrew is in WA so I guess he's the one who's traveled the farthest to see me. Here are some pictures from their visit.

Day 224
I forgot to write in my blog yesterday. Currently I am on the lowest setting of oxygen since 3:00 pm to 6:45 pm 1/32 of pressure. This is the longest I have gone. Mommy is taking a nap while I write this, she is very tired. Daddy slept in this morning I keep everyone busy with my feeding a and medicine I need.

Today we drove to my doctor. It was for a routine check up and for me to meet him for the first time. He was very nice.
I took 1 teaspoon of oatmeal and about 20 ml of milk by mouth.

Day 221
My day of firsts. I went for my first walk in a stroller. I hung out down stairs while daddy made something that smelled very good. Mommy called the doctor for the first time because I had a temp of 99.5. Doctor said not to call back till it is 100.3.

On my way home!
I got to see the sunlight today for the first time. It sure is bright! They strapped me in my seat and put me in something called a car. Mommy and Daddy say I'm going "home". What this is I don't know. I'll let you know how I like it tomorrow.
Day 220
Good morning Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 6735 grams (14 lb 13.6 oz) today, up 30 grams (1.1 oz) from yesterday's weight. I lost an average of 15.7 grams (0.6 oz) per day over the past 7 days. I'm trying to gain some weight, and my nurses and doctors will be helping me along.
I received feedings overnight by pump yesterday at a rate of 47 ml/hr. In addition, I was fed 5 times and took 95 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 757 ml (25.6 oz) for the day. I took all my milk by tube. My last bolus feeding was at 9 PM and I was given 95 ml by tube. My next feeding will be at 9am. Thanks for the breastmilk Mommy! I love it! Since yesterday morning, I pooped once around noon. The best part about today is that i'm coming home! I can't wait!

Good morning Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 6705 grams (14 lb 12.5 oz) today, down 5 grams (0.2 oz) from yesterday's weight. I lost an average of 15.7 grams (0.6 oz) per day over the past 7 days. I know I need to gain some weight, and I'm thinking that a hot fudge sundae would do just the trick.
I received feedings by pump yesterday at a rate of 47 ml/hr. In addition, I was fed 5 times and took 95 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 757 ml (25.6 oz) for the day. I took all my milk by tube. My last feeding was at 9 PM and I was given 95 ml by tube. I can't figure out when my next feeding will be, so check with my nurse. I'm starting to do better in terms of my weight, but I think I'll check with my nurses and doctors and see if they can help me gain some more.

I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 90 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 720 ml (24.3 oz) for the day. I nipple fed 0% of my intake. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I took 1 ml by nipple and I was given 89 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. I'm so glad you're giving me breastmilk -- it's the best food for me! Since yesterday morning, I pooped 3 times and the last time was around 6 PM.
As of 6 AM, I was on a nasal cannula with 100% oxygen.

Aside from breastfeeding, I nipple fed 1% of my intake. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 90 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. Keep the breastmilk coming -- all those wonderful nutrients are so good for me. Since yesterday morning, I pooped 3 times and the last time was around 3 PM.

Sunday football at the Tully house. Sorry Sunday football at the hospital with the Tully family because #6 can not come home yet. Hey daddy, like the Jets I would do much better with #15 instead of #6.
Day 206
Good morning Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 6450 grams (14 lb 3.5 oz) today, up 5 grams (0.2 oz) from yesterday's weight. I gained an average of 17.9 grams (0.6 oz) per day over the past 7 days. I'm starting to do better in terms of my weight, but I think I'll check with my nurses and doctors and see if they can help me gain some more.
I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 90 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 720 ml (24.3 oz) for the day. I took all my milk by tube. Happy Friday Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 6400 grams (14 lb 1.7 oz) today, up 50 grams (1.8 oz) from yesterday's weight. I lost an average of 12.9 grams (0.5 oz) per day over the past 7 days. I haven't been gaining much weight yet, but before you know it, I'll be begging for cookies.

Good morning Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 6315 grams (13 lb 14.8 oz) today, down 20 grams (0.7 oz) from yesterday's weight. I lost an average of 30.7 grams (1.1 oz) per day over the past 7 days. I'm going to gain some weight soon, and my doctors and nurses will let you know the plans to help me put on some meat.
I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 80 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 640 ml (21.6 oz) for the day. I nipple fed 4% of my intake. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 80 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. I'm so glad you're giving me breastmilk -- it's the best food for me! Good morning Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 6335 grams (13 lb 15.5 oz) today, up 20 grams (0.7 oz) from yesterday's weight. I lost an average of 33.6 grams (1.2 oz) per day over the past 7 days. I'm not gaining weight yet, but give me a few more days and I'll show you what I can do.
I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 70-80 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 628 ml (21.2 oz) for the day. I nipple fed 18% of my intake. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 80 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. Thanks for the breastmilk Mommy! I love it! Since yesterday morning, I pooped twice and the last time was around 10 AM.
My last bilirubin was 0.5 on 9/3 at 10 PM and my nurse said that was fine.
As of 6 AM, I was on a nasal cannula with 100% oxygen.

When you least expect a miracle...
When you least expect a miracle to happen... I surprised everyone by arriving on February 16, 2012, at 23 weeks and mommy had no indications that her pregnancy was anything but normal. I tipped the scales at 1 lb., 2 oz, and this was just the start of the long road ahead.
Slowly over the course of 200 days, I grew, gained weight, and developed into a handsome little boy. Mommy and Daddy, along with the special NICU team, spent every day with me watching my development.

Gaining weight is sure hard work. Just think -- everyone thinks it's the easiest thing in the world! Well, I will get going on this weight-gain thing soon.
I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 70 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 560 ml for the day. A fluid oz is about 30 ml so this is about 18.9 oz. I nipple fed 31% of my intake. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I took 70 ml by nipple. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. Thanks for the milk Mommy, it really helps me grow! Since yesterday morning, I pooped twice and the last time was around 3 PM.

I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 45-55 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 410 ml (13.9 oz) for the day. I nipple fed 16% of my intake. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I took 10 ml by nipple and I was given 45 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. I know it's a lot of work Mom, but keep on pumping! I'm worth every drop! Since yesterday morning, I pooped twice and the last time was around 9 PM.
