Single and loving it.
Sorry it took me so long to post. I was out late last night with the ladies. They tell me I'd better enjoy it while I'm in here because once I get home Mommy will have me on a strict curfew. 
Day 136
Good morning Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 4070 grams (8 lb 15.6 oz) today, up 105 grams (3.7 oz) from yesterday's weight. I gained an average of 48.6 grams (1.7 oz) per day over the past 7 days. How about this weight gain? Aren't you proud of me?
I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 70 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 560 ml (18.9 oz) for the day. I took all my milk by tube. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 70 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. I'm so glad you're giving me breastmilk -- it's the best food for me! Since yesterday morning, I pooped once around midnight.
As of 7 AM, I was on a high flow nasal cannula with 40% oxygen.

Happy Friday Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 3965 grams (8 lb 11.9 oz) today, down 55 grams (1.9 oz) from yesterday's weight. I gained an average of 62.1 grams (2.2 oz) per day over the past 7 days. I'm gaining so well that the nurses want me to teach some of the other babies how to gain weight.
I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 70 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 560 ml (18.9 oz) for the day. I took all my milk by tube. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 70 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. Thanks for the milk Mommy, it really helps me grow! Since yesterday morning, I pooped 4 times and the last time was around midnight.
As of 6 AM, I was on a high flow nasal cannula with 44% oxygen.

A few more steps back.
So now my doctor thinks I may have micro aspirations while eating. That means that a tiny bit of my bottle is going down the wrong pipe. Instead of it going into my belly like it should it is sneaking into my lungs. And as you know my lungs don't like this. So to find out if this is the case they are stopping my bottle feedings for 1-2 weeks. Ug, and I was just getting the hang of it. Well at least Mommy understands when they talk to her about it because I just don't get this doctor language.

I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 70 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 560 ml (18.9 oz) for the day. I took all my milk by tube. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 70 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. Thank you so much for giving me breastmilk, Mommy. It really helps me! I haven't pooped since yesterday morning, and the last time I went was around noon on 6/23. My nurse says it's no big deal if I don't poop every day.
As of 6 AM, I was on a high flow nasal cannula with 40% oxygen.

One step forward two steps back.
It seams that after my remarkable strides with my bottles and moving to wall oxygen I've taken a few steps back. I'm having a hard time breathing again. They had to take me off the wall oxygen and put me on something more powerful. No bottles for me since it's too hard to breathe now. The doctor is talking about starting yet another round of steroids tomorrow. When will my breathing problems end?

PS: At 3am I took 50ml by mouth and 15ml by tube! My nurse said the slow-flow nipple was maybe a little too slow for that particular feeding, and switched to a yellow nipple half way through. I also got nice new tapes on my face last night. The room cooled down nicely last night and my temperature was very stable at 36.5C. :)

It's hot in this joint!
We lost power today. Now I don't want to hear any of you complain about the heat. It was over 80 degrees in here. My heart rate was going up and I was breathing really fast. They had to strip me down. Can someone please call the HVAC guy?

Happy Birthday to me!
Well look at that, another month has gone by. I am 4 months old today! Let me try to remember what I have done this month. I hit 5, 6, and now 7 pounds. I'm the only one who gains weight this well. Watch out I'll be 8 pounds in another week. I was hanging out naked yesterday showing off my rolls. This is the only place where you can be proud of fat. No diets welcome here.
Who needs a doctor because I fixed my hernia all by myself? I also started taking full bottles. I left the vapotherm behind and I'm now on straight up wall oxygen. (That's why it says 100% oxygen.) Now I just have to work on cutting down on the flow and taking all of my bottles.
I'm working on breaking myself out before month 5!

Day 122
Good morning Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 3410 grams (7 lb 8.3 oz) today, up 40 grams (1.4 oz) from yesterday's weight. I gained an average of 60.7 grams (2.1 oz) per day over the past 7 days. How about this weight gain? Aren't you proud of me?

I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 65 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 520 ml (17.6 oz) for the day. I nipple fed 47% of my intake. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 65 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. I know it's hard to pump Mom, but please keep working on this -- it really helps me. Since yesterday morning, I pooped once around 3 PM.
As of 6 AM, I was on a nasal cannula with 100% oxygen.

Happy Friday Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 3370 grams (7 lb 6.9 oz) today, up 85 grams (3.0 oz) from yesterday's weight. I gained an average of 57.1 grams (2.0 oz) per day over the past 7 days. You should be impressed by the way I'm gaining. Everyone is complimenting me for the great job I'm doing.
I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 60-65 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 510 ml for the day. A fluid oz is about 30 ml so this is about 17.2 oz. I nipple fed 46% of my intake. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 65 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. Thank you so much for giving me breastmilk, Mommy. It really helps me! Since yesterday morning, I pooped 3 times and the last time was around 6 AM.
As of 6 AM, I was on a nasal cannula with 100% oxygen.

My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 60 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. Keep up the good work Mom -- I really appreciate that great breastmilk! Since yesterday morning, I pooped twice and the last time was around noon.

Got milk?
Got milk? Cause I'm all out. I just finished my first bottle tonight and it was for mommy. 60 cc by mouth which is the equivalent of 2 oz. Want proof? Here's a picture of the empty bottle.
Who needs surgery?
When you can heal yourself. After 6 doctors and one surgeon looked at me this afternoon they said I healed on my own. Surgery will not happen today. It of course would have been better if they decided this before they put the IV back in my arm.

I'm going under
They will be putting me under this afternoon for my hernia surgery. They're running a two for one special today on hernias and man parts. Apparently it's a good deal. That's why my surgery it's until the afternoon. Once they give me back I'm phone I'll let you know how I did. Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers today.

Good morning Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 3080 grams (6 lb 12.6 oz) today, up 100 grams (3.5 oz) from yesterday's weight. I gained an average of 41.4 grams (1.5 oz) per day over the past 7 days. My nurse gave me a gold star for my weight gain.
I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 60 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 480 ml (16.2 oz) for the day. I nipple fed 11% of my intake. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 60 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. Keep the breastmilk coming -- all those wonderful nutrients are so good for me. Since yesterday morning, I pooped twice and the last time was around 3 PM.
As of 6 AM, I was on a nasal cannula with 100% oxygen and 0.3 liters!!

Mommy's Shower

We won!

I am done with the oxygen.
Mommy, don't worry I just decided that my belly is best. And when I'm on my belly I'd like to try and breath on my own. Look at me no oxygen and I'm not destating! Aren't you proud? It was just for 1/2 until I was back on my back again. But it's a start towards getting off all together. I'm like a turtle, I like my belly.

Happy Friday Mommy and Daddy! I weigh 2585 grams (5 lb 11.2 oz) today, up 20 grams (0.7 oz) from yesterday's weight. I gained an average of 25.0 grams (0.9 oz) per day over the past 7 days. Aren't you proud of the way I'm gaining weight!
I was fed 8 times yesterday and I took 55 ml at each feeding. I received a total amount of 440 ml (14.9 oz) for the day. I nipple fed 7% of my intake. My last feeding was at 6 AM and I was given 55 ml by tube. My next feeding should be around 9 AM. Thanks for the breastmilk, Mommy. You're the only one who can help me in such a special way. I can feel myself growing!!
As of 6 AM, I was on a high flow nasal cannula with 32% oxygen.
